A total of Six (6) Communications Awards are presented each year: 3 to the Senior Class, and 3 to Underclassmen. Senior Award night takes place sometime during senior week (in May), while Underclassmen Award night follows a week to 10 days later.
The 3 awards are presented for:
- Spoken Word
- Written Word
- Artistic Expression
The recipients are selected by the school and communicated to the LSPO officer responsible to make the Award Certificates and purchase the Gift Cards that go with them. The LSPO Communication Awards Officer goes to the two ceremonies to present the awards. Alternatively, the LSPO Co-Chairs may go.
