McLean Counseling Opportunities

We are excited to share that the LS Counseling Department has begun a new consultation with McLean Hospital. As part of that consultation, there is a new resource that is now available to all LS parents/guardians called the “Leaders in Youth Mental Health Series.” There are four free caregiver webinars for the parents and caregivers at LS.

First webinar:

The first webinar is titled "How to Talk to Your Kids About Suicide and Myths that Get in the Way" and will be presented by Gillian Galen, PsyD. It will occur next Thursday, October 17th 9:00AM-10:00AM. Description and Zoom link can be found on the website above.

Important information:

1. All caregivers of LS students and school staff are invited to attend. Please note that the webinars are restricted to school partners only and should not be distributed outside of LS.

2. Webinars will be hosted live on their scheduled date and time with closed captioning. If you are unable to watch it live, they will be recorded and available “On Demand” shortly afterwards. The On Demand videos will be found on the same website link above.

3. No pre-registration is required for the webinars.
