Incident on LSPO Event Sign-up Form

To the LSPO Community:
I am writing to you today, regrettably, to share that an incident of antisemitism occurred after publishing our Community Ties event earlier this week. I wanted to inform you of the steps that have been taken to address this incident.
An unknown person or persons used our Community Ties event volunteer sign-up form to express antisemitism. Once we learned of this, we took precautions to remove the content and our communications team submitted a high priority incident report to the MembershipToolKit company. Our superintendent, Dr. Stephens was informed, and an action plan was discussed and put into action.
Both Lincoln and Sudbury Police Departments were contacted to report the incident. Both departments have recorded and registered the incident and will stay in touch to make sure they are fully up to date in the unfortunate circumstance that another incident occurs.
Please note that the incident did not include or give any indication of direct violence or harm to any students or faculty. We understand that any incident of antisemitism causes harm on an emotional level. We want the community to know that the LSPO does not tolerate any expression of hate.
When incidents such as these occur, we believe that this is a time for our community to come together to show solidarity and support. The purpose of our Community Ties team within the LSPO is to celebrate the diversity of the students and their families at LSRHS, and to foster strong relationships between its communities that will allow students to discover and develop their unique talents, abilities, and interests.
We appreciate you taking the time to read this letter, and we hope that you will stand with us in solidarity on Monday, February 10th at our Community Ties event: Click Here
Respectfully,
Nadia Sussman
LSPO Chair
